Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 7 am–4 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Reliable Auto Tire Co Inc at (860) 247-7977; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 207 reviews, which is a strong result for a tire shop in Hartford and suggests consistent service.

Hartford is in Connecticut, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Hartford follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Hard to believe that they have a 4.7 rating.I bought tires from this people about 5 months ago. They never told me I needed alignment and they never told me that they rotate my tires for free. After I bought four tires boys , it's time to close up shop , stay away

This morning I went to get four new tires for my car and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The ownership was welcoming. The service was incredible and the time turnaround was incredibly prompt. I took a chance on a friends recommendation to try out reliable auto and I actually called my friend on the way home to thank him for the great reference if you are looking for tires, brakes oil changes all of the basics for your vehicle then I would give them a shot. It is an old-time auto shop with the field that goes along with it, but at the same time it gives you the confidence that things are done, right

Have been coming here for over 5 years and they are the best. Fast, friendly, reliable, and economic. Never had an issue with them and they are always consistent with the service they provide. Would highly recommend to any family or friends.

Highly trusted, family owned, and respectable company. They take care of my families vehicles and I appreciate that they treat them like members of their own family. I love the vintage feel of the office and waiting room, it's not sterile and cold like most places today. They also have a coffee table stacked full of Cosmo magazines - what's not to love about this place?
